I have been meaning to set up a blog for a while. I was always waiting for inspiration (and time) before setting one up but now that it is up and running, I have started by posting a somewhat random assortment of things. So, in the interests of clarity, I thought I should give you an idea of what to expect from it. At its most basic it will be just a place to air my thoughts on anything I fancy. However, more specifically, i intend to work my way round to writing about some or all of the following:
It’s a new year and legend has it that new years bring new possibilities. To increase my exposure to them I aim to attend more networking events and meetups, join in with some informal co-working (e.g. Jelly, spare desks, etc) and probably join a more permanent co-working space for a regular office-away-from-home…
My taste in music has changed quite a lot over the last few years. I’m listening to a lot more old music and jazz and a huge amount of more ambient, soundscape-y stuff which I find really helps me concentrate when I’m working as well as rewarding more careful listening. Most of my discoveries have come from the Norman Records weekly email and then scouring Soundcloud, Spotify and MySpace to find them…
As many of you will know or at least suspect, things are changing for me work-wise at the moment. I have left Elastik Mobile to allow myself the opportunity to branch out beyond both iPhone apps and development in general. I will be attempting to describe exactly what I do as time goes on but as a starting point:
